The first day of the trimester, when i walked in this class I thought I knew how to take outstanding photos but, boy, oh boy, was I wrong. I have improved so much as a photographer, as a worker in photoshop, and that is all done in a fun and exciting class. I didn't even know what shutter speed or ISO was going into this class and now walking out of it I know that many things go into creating the "perfect" picture.
In photoshop I have improved as well. I had what I thought was a lot of prior knowledge on the photoshop application but, yet again, I was wrong. I learned about things called clone stamp tool. I learned how to create shadows, how to create reflections and I learned how to make photos better. I did work with photoshop, before this class on my phone. on an application called SuperImpose. I also learned about the 8 elements of composition. Rule of thirds, patterns, color, lines, framing, perspective, texture, and symmetry. We learned about aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. I have so many tools I can use to improve my photography now that I took this class. I will be interested in taking part 2 in a future year.

We went outside and mr. Bush rode around on his bike and we had to use a technique called panning. When panning, we learned to keep you shutter speed low and pre-focus.
For this photo assignment I dug up some pictures that I had taken since the beginning of the trimester and did people. Doing people is hard because of the contrast and the light and shadows. I learned to shoot at a lowest ISO you can.
This was a fun and hard photoshop assignment. We had to take 5 different pictures and merge them together. We learned about layer stacks, layer masking and, black and white masking.
For this photoshop assignment we got the assignment of doing studio portraits and window light portraits. On photoshop we learned how to work with layers, framing a photo, and resizing photos.
For this photoshop assignment, we did an open photoshop assignment so I did watercolor and sportsedits. I learned how to download brushes and work with layers and opacity of the layers. This was soo fun learning about different things.
For this photo assignment I decided to shoot pictures of the life around us. NATURE! I learned that colors really make nature pop and a tri pod is really good for shooting landscape pictures so you can turn down the ISO and turn up the shutter speed so the picture is really clear.
For this photoshop assignment we took pictures for panoramic photos. We went out and took a set of landscape pictures. We took a 30-40% overlap and used photomerge in Photoshop. This assignment was super fun and easy.
For this photoshop assignment Mr. Bush had us take pictures of the inside and outside of the school and photoshop unreal things into it. We learned many new tools including adding shadows. These are the before and after.
